Sr. Structural Modeler

Brief Description

Position Overview: ERA seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Structural Modeler to join our team. In this role, you will lead the development and coordination of 3D models and 2D construction documents across a variety of construction types using multiple software platforms. You will translate schematic sketches, reference drawings, consultant models, specifications, and engineering direction into accurate, coordinated, and technically sound project deliverables.

As a senior team member, you will take ownership of significant project components, ensuring construction documents are complete, consistent, and aligned with project standards, scope, and schedule. You will maintain a thorough understanding of company drawing standards and ensure they are applied consistently throughout the life of the project.

You will coordinate design documents with multidisciplinary teams both internally and externally, proactively identifying and resolving coordination challenges to maintain project alignment. This role requires the ability to manage priorities, establish and maintain task timelines, report project milestones and progress, and contribute to the development of project-specific details. You will work collaboratively within a team-based environment while exercising a high degree of independence, technical judgment, and accountability.

Success in this role requires strong technical modeling expertise, a comprehensive understanding of structural drafting standards, clear communication skills, and the ability to manage complex project demands with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Document Preparation

• Prepare construction documents that include technical drawings, details and structural notes
• Develop accurate and complete drawing packaged in accordance with project requirements
• Utilize multiple software platforms to produce coordinated construction documents
• Thorough understanding of company drawing standards and ability to maintain them throughout the life of a project.
  
  

Technical Coordination

• Coordinate and integrate technical information in design and construction across various construction types
• Work from schematic sketches, reference drawings, consultant models, specifications, and verbal direction
• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to company drafting and modeling standards
• Coordinate design documents with multiple disciplinary teams internally and externally.
• Ability to establish task time estimates and maintain those timeframes
  
  

Collaboration and Communication

• Help in the development of project specific details
• Coordinate and consult with internal project team members and senior modelers to complete assigned tasks
• Assist with construction administration duties as needed to support active projects
• Communicate progress and questions to appointed supervisor to ensure alignment with project expectations
• Report project milestones and progress on a regular basis to an appointed supervisor and engineer on the project

• Full Time – Non-Exempt
• In – Person Core Office Hours:
• 9:00am-3:00pm Monday-Thursday
• Friday Flex – 9:00am-12:00pm
  
  

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in architectural/structural/construction design and drafting technology program
• 10-14 years of related experience; internships, coursework, or project based
• Proficiency with industry standard modeling and office software including Revit, Bluebeam, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams)
• Demonstrate ability to stay self-motivated, both independently and within a team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to convey information clearly and collaborate effectively
• Creative, adaptable problem-solving skills, ability to understand and apply design and construction principles
