JOB OVERVIEW
The Director of Content Systems, Marketing AI & Platforms is a key leader role within the Marketing organization. Leads the strategy, design, and scaling of the systems that power Equity Trust’s content engine across multiple digital properties. This role sits at the intersection of content strategy, AI-enabled workflow design, marketing operations, and web platform execution. Owns the evolution of AI-assisted content development workflows, serves as marketing’s lead partner with IT on content systems and deployment, and works closely with web engineering to deliver scalable, high-quality educational content, tools, and digital experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Owns the strategy and roadmap for AI-enabled content systems, workflow automation, and scalable publishing operations across all brands supported by marketing
• Leads the development, governance, and continuous improvement of agentic AI workflows that support content research, prioritization, drafting, refreshes, and quality control
• Designs and manages human-in-the-loop review processes to ensure AI-assisted content and tools are accurate, compliant, educational, brand-aligned, and publication ready
• Serves as marketing’s primary partner with IT on headless CMS deployment, content modeling, taxonomy, authoring workflows, design system integration, experimentation and personalization capabilities
• Acts as the primary business partner to creative design and web engineering for page templates, reusable modules, front-end experiences, and publishing infrastructure
• Builds scalable content operations processes for intake, briefing, assignment, review, Legal and Compliance approval, publishing, SEO and GEO performance and refresh cycles across multiple websites
• Supports major digital growth initiatives, including business expansion, related entities and future acquisition targets
• Establishes standards, governance, and documentation that improve consistency, transparency, and execution across the team
• Partners with content leadership, growth stakeholders, compliance, and subject matter experts to prioritize work based on business value, user needs, and operational capacity
• Evaluates emerging AI, CMS, and marketing technology solutions and translates practical innovations into measurable productivity and quality gains
• Analyzes workflow, platform, and content performance data to identify optimization opportunities and improve throughput, quality, and speed to market
• Follows assigned work schedule with regular and predictable attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Marketing, Communications, Digital Strategy, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 8 - 10 years of progressive experience in content strategy, content operations, digital marketing, web platforms, marketing technology, or a related field.
• Experience building or scaling AI-enabled workflows, CMS-driven publishing operations, or other content systems that improve execution and quality.
• Prior leadership experience and demonstrated success managing cross-functional initiatives with executive leadership, marketing, IT and product teams.
• In person interaction that includes actively collaborating with colleagues and participating in team or company meetings
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS
• AI Proficiency certification preferred
TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Experience with AI platforms, automation tools, and human-in-the-loop quality controls
• Familiarity with headless CMS platforms, structured content models, taxonomy, publishing workflows, experimentation and personalization platforms
• Experience partnering with web platforms, analytics tools, SEO tools, and digital optimization technologies
• Ability to analyze workflow, platform, and content performance data to drive prioritization and continuous improvement
