We are seeking a licensed Speech Therapist for a Home Health assignment responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to speech and language disorders. This role includes functional training in communication, swallowing, and cognitive impairments, as well as developing and implementing individualized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
Speech Therapist – Home Health (Temporary Assignment)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Assignment Type: Temporary
Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs related to speech and language disorders
- Provide functional training in communication, swallowing, and cognitive impairments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Perform therapeutic interventions to improve patient well-being
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient outcomes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy goals and techniques
Required Qualifications
- Current Speech Therapy license in the state of Georgia
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license /Current vehicle insurance/Access to a dependable vehicle
- Ability to travel to patient homes
Preferred Skills
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills
- Experience treating speech and language disorders
- Experience with swallowing and cognitive impairments
- Home health experience preferred
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
