Position: Presentation Specialist (Healthcare/Insurance)
Location: California (Los Angeles And/Or San Diego County)
Duration: 3-6 Month Contract, potential for extension/conversion to FTE
Rate: $25/Hr
Start Date: ASAP
Important: These are positions that will require travel to events
around the Los Angeles and/or San Diego County areas.
Must have own vehicle - Will be reimbursed for travel.
Must have own Laptop and/or tablet.
Responsibilities:
The Presentation Specialist is responsible for representing Healthcare Federal Programs at in-person federal agency events, health fairs, retirement seminars, benefits fairs and open season activities. This role serves as a front-line ambassador for Healthcare's federal offerings, including FEHB, PSHB, and FEDVIP Dental and Vision products. Presentation Specialists are expected to professionally engage federal employees, annuitants, postal employees, and their families by providing product education, wellness information, and basic benefits support. Specialists must successfully complete required federal security procedures and travel extensively within their assigned territory during the Federal OpenSeason period.
Represent Healthcare Federal Programs at in-person federal agency events and benefit fairs.
Set up and manage event displays, promotional materials, educational resources, and signage.
Educate federal employees, retirees, and postal employees on medical, dental, and vision offerings.
Present plan highlights, wellness programs, and member resources to individuals and small groups.
Answer basic benefit and enrollment questions and connect attendees with appropriate resources when additional support is needed.
Support member retention and growth efforts through positive customer engagement.
Maintain current knowledge of FEHB, PSHB, and FEDVIP products and programs.
Accurately communicate approved marketing and compliance messaging.
Participate in virtual and live training sessions and team meetings.
Complete post-event reporting and provide feedback from the field.
Perform additional duties as assigned by Federal Programs leadership or FPL Leadership within the business segment
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Strong communication and public speaking skills.
Professional demeanor and customer-service orientation.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned territory.
Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel by car, train, or airplane as required.
Access to a personal laptop, tablet, and mobile phone for training and business communications.
Ability to lift and transport event materials and display items.
Desired Skills:
Previous experience in health care, insurance, sales, customer service, education, public outreach, or event management.
Experience presenting to groups or conducting community outreach activities.
Compensation Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour
Training & Schedule: Training will be conducted virtually in the Eastern Time Zone via Microsoft Teams.
Important: Contractors must have access to a personal laptop or tablet to attend required training sessions
Work Schedule: Hours vary based on federal agency event schedules and business needs. Typical commitment: Up to 20–30 hours per week
Travel time paid in accordance with assignment requirements
Minimum six (6) paid hours per scheduled event
Min Education: High School Diploma or GED
