Packaging Engineer (UFAO)

Position Title: Packaging Engineer (UFAO)

Location: Suburb of Boston, MA

Job Type: Full Time (Onsite preferred)

Job Description:

• Broad experience on a diverse set of product and packaging formats, including but not limited to rigid plastics, flexibles, glass, metal and secondary packaging. Rigid packaging is a priority.
• Management of external resources like suppliers, testing labs and prototyping firms.
• Technical leadership of projects commercialization, scale up and launch.
• Technology scouting and open innovation.
• Food & beverage filling & packaging equipment and operations.
• Manage and execute packaging innovation and productivity projects.
• Manage Innovation Project from concept through commercialization and retail shelves.
• Work with internal customers to commercialize packaging designs and concepts.
• Represent packaging in cross functional team meetings to develop and implement new packaging and packaging changes to realize cost savings.
• Conduct line trials.
• Conduct lab testing.
• Develop packaging specifications.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of a proven Packaging Innovation track record with successful launches in market for Food & Beverage or CPG companies
• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Packaging Engineering or related fields.
• Hot Fill PET, glass bottles, corrugated cases, folding carton, graphic changes, pallet load configuration; cost savings projects, supply and manufacturing experience 
• Good communication skills both oral and written
