Responsibilities and Expectations Structure
- Mortgage Coordinator
- Coordinator for the Quality Control Post-Closing process between the Bank and Quality Control vendor-liaison to pull report to send to vendor, pull report to send to vendor, pull files as requested and upload to vendor
- Follow up on trailing documents-ensure that the Bank has all recorded documents and final title policies to send to investors and in house loans
- Research and pay invoices as necessary
- Adverse Actions
- Process Adverse Action notices in a timely manner
- Scan documents into Encompass
- Disclosure Desk
- Back up the Disclosure Desk as needed
- Pull the Application/Disclosure report daily
- Review and interpret loan information to effectively determine which disclosures are required
- Ensure each disclosure package contains all expected disclosures
- Comply with regulation timelines for the delivery of disclosures to the customer
- Communicate with Lenders to validate fees associated with the transaction
- Monitor daily pipelines to ensure initial and re-disclosure packages are distributed to customers within regulated timeframes
- Order flood searches
- Lock Desk
- Back up the Lock Desk as needed
- Lock interest rate with secondary market lenders as submitted by loan officers through the Bank’s pricing engine
- Confirm pricing for locked rate
- Processes rate lock extensions and other changes to loan characteristics and ensures any pricing considerations are addressed
- Extend locks when needed
- Performs data entry for all mandatory loan sales and updates investor information (commitment number, investor loan number, delivery date, pricing, etc.)
- Communicates rate lock expiration reports to Manager/Supervisor to ensure all locks are extended or any inactive locks are canceled
- Assists post-closing department with any revisions to locks necessary to facilitate getting the loan purchased
- Process In-House lock requests
- Post Close
- Back up the Post Closers as needed
- Scan and upload closing packets to Encompass and Director
- Sort documents in Encompass and Director
- Employee is responsible for understanding and following the applicable laws and regulations for their job responsibilities including but not limited to Equity Bank Business Ethic and Conduct policy, Bank Secrecy Act, Information security, and Suspicious Activity reporting requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned, required, or requested
Required Skills & Education
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 years mortgage experience
- TRID experience preferred
- Experience with Ellie Mae Encompass LOS preferred
- Extensive knowledge of mortgage lending practices and regulations preferred
- Ability to process high volume, time-sensitive transactions preferred
- Detail oriented and well organized
- Able to perform a variety of mortgage-related functions, while maintaining composure
- Excellent interpersonal skills and professional manner
