Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Metal Fabricator. This role involves working with sheet metal and structural components to build rugged Industrial equipment. We’re looking for a motivated laborer with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn on the job. A successful applicant will be provided on the job training to learn how to operate plasma table, grinders, press break and other metal fabrication machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate hand and power tools, including grinders, drills, and saws
- Assist with layout, cutting, bending, and assembly of sheet metal components
- Inspect finished products for quality and structural integrity
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times
Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Prior experience in fabrication, construction, or industrial labor preferred but not required
- Ability to read tape measures and basic blueprints
- Willingness to learn fabrication techniques
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use and dexterity of arms, legs, and full-body movement, including but not limited to:
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, stooping, twisting, kneeling, reaching
- Pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying up to 50 lbs
- Climbing and descending stairs and ladders
- Operating equipment and tools requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination
- Verbal communication to exchange information
- Seeing and hearing within a reasonable range for a shop environment, with or without correction
This is a physically demanding role in a shop setting with exposure to loud noise, sharp materials, heavy machinery, and potentially hazardous conditions. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and capable of maintaining safety and focus throughout the day.
