What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Specialist - Events position at Equipment One Company?
The Marketing Specialist plans and executes events including trade shows, customer appreciation activities, customer training and other events as directed. This position requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and drive marketing events from inception to completion. This includes but is not limited to contracting, booth selection, staffing, supplies, creative needs and promotional materials.
- Creates and distributes event communications for team members including event goals and schedules.
- Sources and secures vendors for select events. Communicates with vendor and community partners on attendance opportunities.
- Maintains master event calendar.
- Coordinates with product marketing teams to keep website and social media pages up to date.
- Analyzes event results, distributes leads, manages post event meetings and surveys providing feedback to product marketing teams.
- Reconciles event budgets.
- Performs all other duties assigned in a professional and efficient manner
- Follows all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adheres to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or communications
- 2-3 years’ experience in event planning or marketing
- Experience with event coordination preferred
- Strong organizational skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks and projects and deadlines
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills required: Office 365 products including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment both in and outside the office
- Up to 20% travel
