Role:
The role of this position will be to lead a department to ensure the team meets production, safety, quality and continuous improvement goals. Responsible for planning, monitoring, training and communicating all activities with assigned team members.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the productivity, safety, quality, continuous improvement, and other performance indicators in coordination with the production manager.
- Responsible for planning, monitoring and leading all activities associated with team members of the department.
- Communicate daily department goals so that each employee is aware of expectations and deliverables.
- Train and lead team members to meet department goals.
- Ensure open communication exists among employees.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain metric board(s) to inform team on performance indicators.
- Able to manage effectively a diverse work group.
- Maintain and apply company policies and procedures and assure adherence.
- Promote and maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
- Ability and willingness to fill in on production as needed/required by work flow.
- Monitoring and reporting production goals to the production manager.
- Conduct employee reviews and communicate expectations.
- Participate in the interview/hiring process.
- Maintain accurate time and attendance in ADP ensuring company compliance.
- Lead and set the example for company culture and policies.
- Perform other tasks as directed by management.
- Notify Production Manager of any mechanical or material issues immediately.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Incumbent shall be a high school graduate and have 4 years or more of supervisory experience in manufacturing environment or 2 years of EDCO working experience, as well as on the job manufacturing work experience or work related experience. Shop math skills are required. Must be able to communicate both in writing and orally in English. Experienced working in a team environment is a must. Must also demonstrate ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple/detail-oriented tasks.

• Other PPE as needed or required
Work Environment:
A warehouse setting with concrete floors may also be presented. The temperature will vary with the seasons (hot/cold). The use of stairs may be necessary, yet an elevator is available. The noise level is loud.
Salary : $24 - $30
