The PSS Engineering department provides project, site and integration engineering services using Emerson’s DeltaV Control System. ECI engineers leverage their expertise and knowledge of process control systems and automation across multiple process industries. As a member of this department you will be working in a team environment on process automation projects for our install-based customers.

Job Description
The PSS Engineering department provides project, site and integration engineering services using Emerson’s DeltaV Control System. ECI engineers leverage their expertise and knowledge of process control systems and automation across multiple process industries. As a member of this department you will be working in a team environment on process automation projects for our install-based customers.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test and startup of control strategies for batch and continuous control applications in the food, chemical and oil & gas industries using Emerson's DeltaV control system
- Understand the project scope, schedule, budget and expectations of quality, and develop solutions to meet customer needs
- Develop high quality, well-tested and well-documented application software and hardware designs to meet customer’s specifications: I/O definition, regulatory control strategies, graphic displays and sequencing strategies
- Integrated System Testing
- Factory Acceptance Test
- Perform startup and commissioning for projects including I/O checkout; program loading and checkout; perform function checks of program, failure modes, and alarming; troubleshooting; and operator and engineering training
The Ideal Candidate:
- Will possess a four-year engineering degree in an Engineering discipline
- Will have 3 years of process control experience (required)
- Will have a hands-on knowledge of current distributed control systems (DCS/PLC); emphasis will be placed on skills related to Emerson's DeltaV control system
- Will have demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, an ability to think logically and systematically
- Must have strong verbal, written, multi-tasking and team skills
- Must be willing to provide on-site support which may require overnight travel
