Senior Information Technology Project Manager

The IT Senior Project Manager (PM) must be an experienced, highly organized Senior PM to work in the fast-moving, complex healthcare construction and information and communication technology (ICT) environment. This role must effectively manage healthcare information technology (HIT) project components to contribute to the overall success of the Equinox HIT team. Travel is required, and schedules are based on the assigned project, project schedules, and the client-partner conditions. When not working at a project-related site, work will be remote.

The Senior PM leads multiple projects (typically interrelated) for client-partners with moderate to high levels of complexity, risk, ambiguity, and visibility. May have project-level support from Project Coordinator(s), Project Manager(s), or both, but not management responsibility. The Senior PM is responsible for project documentation, updates, tracking, and progress reports, powered by our integrated platform Solstice KEY®, through all project phases until delivery.

The IT Senior PM must:

• Have knowledge of the following ICT components: Infrastructure, networks, and ICT devices; building, specialty, and medical systems (e.g., building and access management, security video VSS, nurse call, remote temperature monitoring, physiological monitoring, RTLS); healthcare applications, software, interfaces, and integrations (e.g., EHR, ERP, API, HL7, multiple 3^rd party apps to include clinical, business/operations, technical, and digital services).
• Have a deep knowledge of and experience in applying advanced project management methodologies, tools, and techniques. 
• Have knowledge of project management best practices and the concepts and principles that define them; keen awareness of project interdependencies; understand and can identify potential risks, issues, and appropriate actions to manage, mitigate, or both. 
• Be able to contribute to the development of and use standardized project management methodology, Equinox HIT® workflows, processes, and standardized tools through Solstice KEY® to plan, manage, drive, and track projects. 
• Have a proficient to high level of soft skills (i.e., clear communication of complex concepts, information, and impacts to project team members, stakeholders, executive sponsors, and leadership). 
• Be able to solve complex problems, apply new perspectives on existing solutions, exercise judgment based on analyses of multiple sources, and contribute, conduct, and apply solutions to project efforts. 
• Provide vendor management to include facilitating and maintaining relationships between vendor-partners, participating in or leading RFPs, negotiating contracts, vendor selection, and providing vendor oversight, ensuring deliverables are met on time and on budget. 
• Provide stakeholder management to successfully coordinate with key project stakeholders (owner administration, owner’s representative, construction management, technology design consultant, medical equipment planners, business owners, clinical owners, digital services, transition planners, etc.) and facilitate project team meetings to ensure the ICT components for the project are properly planned and implemented successfully. 
• Cultivate and maintain client-partner and project-partner relationships and identify business development opportunities in collaboration with the Equinox HIT Business Development Team. 
• May facilitate project management training.
• Participate in project strategy planning.

Requirements:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) ® certification from Project Management Institute (PMI) required or must obtain within 18 months of hire date. (Equinox HIT does provide limited reimbursement for training and exam costs upon passing.)
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of experience in formal project management required.
• 5 years of experience in healthcare information technology or equivalent project-related industry preferred.
• In connection with all potential applicants for whom a conditional offer has been made, the Company will conduct a background check and drug screening. A Third Party will conduct this strictly confidential check in compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Must have received or be willing to receive any and all vaccinations as required by any city, county, state, federal, or client-partner mandates, laws, and policies by the date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination is required.
• May occasionally be required to lift 1-50 pounds of office equipment. Bending, stooping, reading at about shoulder level, climbing, walking, standing, working in extreme temperatures, and exposure to toxic/hazardous conditions on the project construction site may occur, less than 10% of the time.
