Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate is a flexible, hands-on position responsible for moving, receiving, stocking, and preparing materials while supporting overall warehouse operations. The role requires the ability to safely handle materials, follow work orders, maintain an organized work area, and perform physical tasks throughout an 8-hour shift. Warehouse experience is preferred but not required for candidates with reliable work history and the ability to learn warehouse procedures and products quickly.
Job Responsibilities
- Pull and prepare materials and orders for shipment.
- Receive, verify, stage, and stock incoming materials.
- Put materials away in designated warehouse locations.
- Pull materials according to work orders and operational requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, secure, and safe warehouse environment.
- Assist with general warehouse activities as needed.
- Follow work orders and established material-handling procedures.
- Support different warehouse functions based on daily operational needs.
Job Requirements
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to read and understand work orders.
- Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, pull, twist, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to work safely and efficiently during an 8-hour shift.
- Reliable and consistent work history required; previous warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to learn product information and warehouse procedures quickly.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Forklift operating experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate a sit-down propane forklift.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing warehouse assignments.
Work Experience
- Previous warehouse experience in shipping, receiving, delivery, inventory, or material handling preferred.
- Candidates without warehouse experience may be considered with a strong and consistent work history.
- Customer-facing experience, including retail or home improvement environments, is a plus.
- Forklift experience is preferred but not required.
