Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full project lifecycle including bidding, planning, material procurement, installation oversight, and project close-out.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and deliverables across a portfolio of projects.
- Lead internal and external teams including field technicians, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project execution meets technical, financial, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to define project scopes and expectations.
- Track and manage change orders, risks, and corrective actions.
- Use project tracking tools (e.g., Asana, MS Project) to monitor project milestones, field budgets, invoicing, and system updates.
- Conduct regular project reviews, including updates on budget tracking, AR, and status of pending awards.
- Maintain accuracy across system data and engagement documentation, including proposals, POs, and contracts.
- Ensure all installed systems (access control, IP cameras, video management) are completed to spec and integrated properly.
- Provide guidance on commissioning and programming efforts when needed.
- 5 years of project management experience in the commercial electronic security industry.
- Technical knowledge of access control and video surveillance systems including Genetec, Avigilon, Verkada, and Lenel.
- Proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and budgets up to $5M.
- Experience managing in-field teams, subcontractors, and direct client communications.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Asana and MS Project.
- Understanding of commercial security installation practices and lifecycle from rough-in through commissioning.
- PMI/PMP Certification or equivalent project management training.
- Experience in K-12 and/or corporate office environments.
- College degree or relevant associate degree preferred.
- Familiarity with structured cabling, fiber, wireless, and integrated building systems.
- OSHA 10/30 and manufacturer certifications (Genetec, Avigilon, etc.) are a plus.
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to visit job sites and coordinate field operations.
- Must be detail-oriented, self-driven, and customer-focused.
