Schedule- 8.5-hour shifts with a 30-minute unpaid lunch deducted.
- Office hours are between 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM.
- As a Float Pool Medical Assistant, flexibility is required.
- Potential shifts include:
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Must remain on-site until the last patient has been seen.
- May float to other Holy Name Physician Practices located primarily in:
- Bergen County
- Hudson County
- Passaic County
- Candidates must be flexible and willing to travel between locations as needed.
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (National Certification required)
- Current BLS Certification
- Local candidates welcome
- RTO (Requested Time Off) must be submitted at the time of submission
- No call responsibilities
- Room patients
- Obtain and record vital signs
- Perform patient intake
- Document patient histories, medications, and allergies
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for provider visits
- Communicate test results and process prescription refill requests
- Assist with front desk/reception duties, including:
- Answering patient calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Chart preparation
- Telephone triage
- Ordering supplies
- Pharmacy calls and refill requests
- EMR/charting systems vary by location.
- Bilingual in Spanish or Korean
- Experience in an adult outpatient clinic setting
- Travel experience is not required.
- Candidates will float throughout Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic Counties as needed.
