What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Inspector position at Equiliem Staffing?
We are currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Construction Inspector. This is a direct hire position that offers medical benefits, 401k, and a company vehicle.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform roofing, siding and façade inspections.
- Perform forensic inspections for building envelope.
- Prepare reports and specifications.
- Research, due diligence, application submission and various other reporting.
- Communicate with owner representatives, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to facilitate construction activities.
- Negotiate, prepare, issue and execute change orders, and prepare appropriate revisions to budget.
- Perform risk evaluation, project scheduling, and project close-outs.
- Manage field issues and changes with appropriate teams.
- Lead project coordination meetings.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong and proven project management, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
- Able to develop creative and practical solutions based on evaluation of multiple factors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
- Three years or more of related experience required.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Licensed Building Inspector, HHS, ICS, or RCS preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
