Role: HCM SME (Security & Retail Domain)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced HCM Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead Human Capital Management process improvements for large-scale retail-focused security operations. This role will drive end-to-end HR process optimization, data integrity, and automation across multi-state workforce environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead HCM process design covering onboarding, employee data management, HR compliance, benefits, policy governance, and HR analytics.
• Support HR transformation for a distributed workforce spanning security guards, patrol officers, supervisors, and corporate staff.
• Implement workflow automation and HR process optimization using any of the platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Pega, Power Automate, Work Fusion, Camunda, Automation Edge, Aka Bot, and Stack Storm.
• Work closely with HRIS, IT, and Operations teams to digitize legacy HR workflows and enhance employee lifecycle management.
• Provide SME insights on HR best practices specific to hourly workforce environments in the retail and security domain.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal labor regulations, I-9, background checks, licensing requirements, and employee credentialing.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs to track HR efficiency, hiring velocity, retention trends, and workforce utilization.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6 years of HCM experience with specialization in security, retail, staffing, or multi-location operations.
• Strong understanding of HR processes for high-volume hourly talent pools.
• Experience with HCM/HRIS platforms such as Workday, UKG, ADP, Oracle HCM, or SAP SuccessFactors.
• Experience with automation and workflow with any of the tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Pega, MS Power Automate, Work Fusion, Camunda, Automation Edge, Aka Bot, Stack Storm.
• Strong documentation, communication, and multi-stakeholder project management skills.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements across U.S. states for security operations is a plus.
