Warehouse Clerk

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred (not required)
• Prior experience in high-volume scanning or document processing required (experience with RICOH and IBML scanners preferred)
• Proficient in operating scanning equipment and associated software
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with digital filing systems
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and maintain consistent productivity

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate industrial-grade scanning equipment to accurately scan outbound parcels
• Sort packages by designated carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LSO) and place them into correctly labeled Gaylords or outbound pallets
• Efficiently handle and process high volumes of packages with speed and accuracy
• Quickly identify and resolve scanning discrepancies, mislabels, or incorrect carrier assignments
• Inspect parcels to ensure they meet shipping standards, including weight, labeling, and packaging integrity
• Maintain an organized and consistent flow of outbound shipments throughout the shift
• Communicate proactively with supervisors regarding workflow disruptions or volume spikes
• Adhere to all safety protocols and proper handling procedures in a fast-paced environment
• Assist with general warehouse and shipping tasks as assigned

Environment and Cognitive / Physical Demands:

• Work is conducted in a warehouse or shipping facility, with potential exposure to cold storage areas
• Requires sustained focus on detailed tasks with a high level of accuracy
• Frequent standing, walking, and lifting of items up to 50 pounds
• Normal vision range required for reading labels and scanning accuracy
• Must be able to safely lift, carry, push, pull, reach, grasp, bend, climb, and stack packages throughout the shift

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 per hour

• warehouse or shipping facility: 1 year (Required)
• Basic computer literacy: 1 year (Required)
• high-volume scanning or document processing : 1 year (Preferred)
• RICOH or IBML scanners : 1 year (Preferred)
