Monday to Friday
6am to 2:30 (overtime)
$18hr
Duties
- Manage materials handling tasks including order picking, load & unload activities, and precise inventory movement within the yard.
- Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying shipments, preparing items for dispatch, and ensuring accurate documentation.
- Maintain yard organization by stacking pallets, securing loads, and ensuring clear pathways for safety and operational flow.
- Conduct regular safety inspections in compliance with OSHA standards, including mechanical checks on equipment and yard safety audits.
- Assist with construction or maintenance tasks as needed to keep the yard operationally sound.
- Collaborate with warehouse management systems to track inventory movements, update records, and optimize order picking processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or materials handling environments.
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, clamp trucks, or pallet jacks is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment use.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Warehouse supervisor experience or leadership background is a plus for those interested in advancing into supervisory roles.
- Mechanical knowledge related to equipment maintenance or troubleshooting is beneficial.
- Construction or logistics experience that demonstrates adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
