Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual for the position of
Duties
- Operate various warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to facilitate the movement of goods.
- Perform order picking tasks utilizing RF scanners to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Load and unload shipments while adhering to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Oversee materials handling processes to maintain an organized and efficient workspace.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper mechanical functioning and safety compliance.
- Assist in training new staff on warehouse management systems and operational procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution with a focus on order picking.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including cranes and forklifts.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations.
- Experience with materials handling techniques and safety standards (OSHA).
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Proficient in using RF scanners for inventory tracking and management.
- Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor is a plus.
- Knowledge of construction processes can be beneficial for certain tasks. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency within the warehouse.
