- Coordinate with utility providers to obtain service letters, designs, and approvals for electric, gas, telecom, and cable systems.
- Review site plans and construction drawings to identify utility requirements, conflicts, and opportunities for alignment with development timelines.
- Prepare and submit utility service applications and supporting documentation to utility companies.
- Track and manage the utility design and approval process to ensure alignment with project schedules and deadlines.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and landscape planners to incorporate utility infrastructure into overall project design.
- Facilitate meetings and communication between project stakeholders and utility representatives to resolve conflicts and keep projects on track.
- Monitor jurisdictional requirements, utility standards, and permitting processes, ensuring compliance throughout all phases of the project.
- Maintain organized records of utility correspondence, submittals, approvals, and final construction drawings.
- Assist in the preparation of utility construction packages and coordinate with contractors as needed during the installation phase.
- Provide updates and reporting to internal teams on utility status and timelines.
- Responsible for completing personal timecards accurately and timely.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Achieve a 75 - 85% Billable Utilization Rate. Non-billable activities include company & team meetings, professional development, community involvement, innovation time, culture & engagement activities, learning, and training
- 5 years of experience in utility coordination, project coordination, civil engineering or land development.
- Knowledge of dry utility systems and installation processes.
- Familiarity with utility company standards, permitting processes, and local regulations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents, utility plans, and civil site plans.
- Experience with Bluebeam, or similar software is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
- Required to stand, walk, and sit.
- The position may require a visit to project sites occasionally.
- The position requires a normal range of hearing.
- The employee must be able to lift 20 lbs. occasionally.
- Requires prolonged sitting with 15% of the time spent bending and reaching.
- Must have manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
