Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Masonry Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of masonry tasks, including bricklaying, stone masonry, concrete finishing, and related construction activities. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of residential and commercial projects, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Construct and repair walls, facades, walkways, patios, and other structures using bricks, stones, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute project specifications
- Mix mortar and concrete, apply plastering and stucco finishes with precision
- Install rebar reinforcement and build concrete forms for various structures
- Operate hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and scaffolding safely and effectively
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure construction site environment
- Collaborate with carpenters, architects, and other tradespeople to ensure project accuracy and quality
Requirements
- Proven experience in masonry work including bricklaying, stone masonry, concrete finishing, and restoration projects
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Skilled in construction estimating, building material installation, and interpreting construction plans
- Knowledge of rebar installation, concrete forming, caulking, trim carpentry, stucco application, and metal stud framing
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and welding is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
- Excellent hand tool proficiency along with experience in renovation projects
- Construction site experience with a focus on masonry-related tasks
