Position: Lead Contract Specialist
Reports To: Manager of Contract Administration

Position Summary:
The Lead Contract Specialist serves as a key operational and strategic lead for prime contracts. This role supports contract execution, bidding activity, reporting, and process development, while acting as Deputy Program Manager on prime contracts and managing specific contract vehicles.
Who you are:
- A strategic, detail-oriented contracts professional with deep experience managing federal contract vehicles, including ITES, GSA, and other GWACs.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple contracts, deadlines, reporting requirements, and compliance obligations simultaneously.
- Knowledgeable in federal procurement regulations (FAR/DFARS) and comfortable interpreting complex contractual language.
- A strong communicator who can collaborate effectively across sales, finance, program management, and executive leadership.
- Analytical and process-driven, able to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented, anticipating risks and mitigating compliance issues before they escalate.
- Experienced in CRM/ERP environments (e.g., Business Central, Salesforce, Quotely) and comfortable owning high-visibility, high-dollar contract vehicles.
- A team leader who can provide guidance, mentorship, and structure to support contract growth and scalability.
What you’ll do:
- Prime Contract & Vehicle Management
- Act as Deputy Program Manager on Prime Contracts.
- Assist with task order management and execution.
- Bidding, Teaming & Business Development Support
- Monitor bidding activity and ensure targets (including ITES) are met.
- Coordinate with the Proposal Team on submissions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reporting, Metrics & Data Ownership
- Own development and integrity of contract reporting; ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely status updates.
- Track and analyze contract trends and performance metrics; identify gaps in contract offerings and communicate findings.
- Training, Documentation & Process Development
- Create and maintain contract training documentation, support knowledge transfer and process standardization.
- Quality, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure compliance with contract and internal requirements.
- Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
What qualifications you’ll bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of federal contract management experience, including prime contracts and GWACs (e.g., ITES, GSA)
- Strong knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)
- Proven ability to manage multiple contracts, deadlines, and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting proposals, bidding, and cross-functional collaboration
- Analytical and process-driven, with reporting and performance tracking experience
- Proficiency in CRM/ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, Business Central)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across teams
- Demonstrated leadership, process improvement, and documentation experience
