This is a high-impact, hands-on role working on cutting-edge manufacturing systems with direct customer interaction.
Title: Industrial Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, MI (5 days onsite)
Duration: Long Term Contract
W2 Only
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and launch manufacturing and assembly processes\
- Interpret technical data packages into production requirements
- Optimize plant layout, workflow, and efficiency using lean principles
- Evaluate and recommend capital equipment based on product needs
- Build technical and financial business cases for process selection
- Run manufacturing simulations (material flow, facility layout)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interface with customers
Experience Required:
- 10 years of manufacturing, process, or industrial engineering experience
- Strong background in manufacturing process design and production systems
- Proven experience applying lean manufacturing principles
- Exposure to automation, robotics, tooling, or high-speed manufacturing
- Experience with manufacturing simulation tools (FlexSim, ProPlanner preferred)
- Strong mechanical and technical problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Project, etc.)
