A skilled Critical Facilities Technician is needed to support the operation and maintenance of mission-critical infrastructure at a data storage facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of all mechanical, electrical, and cooling systems that support continuous data center operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC and chiller systems, including cooling towers, pumps, and air handling units
- Monitor and maintain electrical systems, including UPS, generators, switchgear, and distribution systems
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment to minimize downtime
- Conduct routine inspections of facility infrastructure to ensure optimal performance
- Respond to alarms, system failures, and emergency situations in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, reports, and documentation
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
- 2 years of experience in data center operations, industrial maintenance, or critical facilities
- Hands-on experience with:
- Chillers and HVAC systems
- Electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Mechanical maintenance and repairs
- Knowledge of safety procedures and lockout/tagout (LOTO) practices
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Willingness to work on-site, including shift work, weekends, and on-call rotations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mission-critical environments (data centers, energy, or industrial facilities)
- EPA certification or equivalent HVAC credentials
- Electrical or mechanical trade certification
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
- Comfortable working in a high-availability, fast-paced environment
