Overview

  • HYBRID REMOTE opportunity for candidates geographically location in Southern Virginia, North Carolina, or South Carolina, with the ability / willingness to work on customer sites as necessary. Candidates MUST be in region to be considered.**

As an ePlus Senior Collaboration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing single- or multi-vendor Collaboration Technology Solutions. You will have the opportunity to work within an industry-leading account team to understand our clients’ needs and craft sustainable Collaboration roadmaps to get them there.

YOUR IMPACT

The essential functions of this position include:

  • Assist in creating and/or responding to Bill-of-Materials (BOM) and Statements of Work (SOW)
  • Planning and designing solutions for multi-vendor Data Center Solutions
  • Be available as a pre-sales resource for sales team members, as necessary
  • Serve as an escalation point for Engineers, Sr. Engineers and Consultants
  • Troubleshoot complex technology issues
  • Assess Customer environment and make recommendations on solutions and improvements
  • Escalate issues to other team members, subject matter experts, and leadership as necessary
  • Provide deployment and implementation services of multi-vendor solutions in a Data Center environment
  • Be available to meet customers’ IT needs
  • Meet with key vendors to stay current on products and technologies
  • Lead a team of engineers on a professional services projects
  • Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications. i.e.: CCIE, R/S. Voice, Brocade, CISSP, VCDX, UCS
  • Serve each and every customer to ePlus’ standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 5 years hands on experience upgrading and deployment of Cisco Unified Communication technology
  • 2 years’ experience Contact Center as a Service
  • 2 years’ experience deploying UC add-ins such as Redsky, 9line, Intrado, Variphy, etc.
  • 2 years’ experience with Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) (e.g. Webex Contact Center, Zoom Contact Center, Five9, etc.)
  • Cisco CUCM and /or UCCX certifications greatly preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills on phone, presenting, and in person
  • Professional demeanor and good communication skills

Ability to structure solutions quickly based upon customer requirements and capabilities of the technology Must be fully knowledgeable and able to design and plan, implement and support IT solutions using two or more of the following technologies:

  • Collaboration (Messaging)
  • VoIP
  • Video Conferencing
  • Deploying / Upgrading Cisco Unified Communications Product Portfolio
  • Cisco Unified Communication Manager (CUCM/Call Manager)
  • Cisco Unity Connection
  • Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX)

Experience deploying and upgrading the following Cisco Unified Communications Product Portfolio:

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM/CallManager)
  • Cisco Unity Connection
  • Cisco Unified Contact Center Express (UCCX)
  • Cisco IM&Presence
  • Cisco Emergency Responder (CER)
  • Cisco Jabber
  • Webex App

Experience with deploying one or more session border controller products:

  • Cisco Unified Border Element (CUBE)
  • Audiocodes
  • Ribbon
  • Oracle/Acme Packet

Experience deploying one or more Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) platforms:

  • Webex Calling
  • Microsoft Teams Phone
  • RingCentral
  • Zoom Phone
  • 8x8

Experience with one or more Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS) platforms:

  • Webex Contact Center
  • Zoom Contact Center
  • Five9
  • Nice inContact
  • Genesys

Experience with one or more call recording/WFO platforms:

  • Eleveo/Zoom International
  • Calabrio
  • Verint
  • Nice

Experience with deploying one or more UC add-ons:

  • Redsky
  • 9Line
  • Intrado
  • Singlewire InformaCast/Fusion
  • Variphy

POSITION SPECIFICS

The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $120,000 and $140,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and personal leave), dependent on the position offered.
