Job Purpose
We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Key Account Representative to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be a primary point of contact for key clients, driving business growth through strategic account management and proactive business development for assigned and new accounts while also coordinating all aspects of product and services delivery throughout the EPL production supply chain. Your passion for sales, strong negotiation skills, and ability to foster lasting relationships will be instrumental in expanding our market presence and delivering exceptional value to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Serve as site level primary point of contact for all key account customers.
- Develop and execute a customer relationship plan that establishes appropriate work processes and external communications designed to strengthen customer relations.
- Drive the resolution process for all key customer complaints and issues internally to ensure regular and timely communication and feedback with the customer.
- Maintain regular contact, including on-site visits, with key account customers (40% travel required)
- Develop and implement customer satisfaction assessment tools and drive improvement programs.
- Understand and promote key customer metrics internally to assure visibility and focus.
- Actively participate in annual and newly acquired business budgeting processes.
- Collaborate on strategic plans to ensure that overall goals for performance are met.
- Work closely with production planning, scheduling, and order dispatch members.
- Ensure order book in SAP is current and follow the internal manufacturing protocols.
- Effectively manage/monitor SLEA and other customer Agreements to include artwork charges, sample charges, etc.
- Closely manages new product development process to ensure timely and thorough execution to meet customer expectations.
- Establishes and maintains the CRM data files for customer records.
- Coordinates with the plant when customer specific samples need to be produced, and ensuring they are to customer specification and that quality standards are met.
- Communicates technical information to customers as directed/required.
- Completes a customer visit report that captures key points and all follow up requirements and ensures the EP team follows on open issues as described in the customer visit reports.
- Responsible for inventory management (FG/WIP), AR and other areas that will maximize customer financials.
- Ensures that orders are taken and scheduled in production in a timely manner.
- Supports the planning system to optimize customer OTIF and enhance quality improvements to meet customer expectations.
- Actively participates in the NPD process to support the timely and successful delivery of new products.
- Key Account Representative (KAR) must understand the customer needs/requirements to create a cohesive and integrated team between supply chain, production, planning and customer to achieve the target expectations and built strong relations.
- Ability to identify process improvements and business development opportunities in which to deliver sustainable growth.
- Ability to identify potential issues before they become a problem and take pro-active actions to resolve and maintain the highest customer satisfaction.
- Ability to influence decisions and convey data that allows all involved parties to take appropriate actions to deliver optimum results
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years in customer service roles.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or Two-Year Associates Degree with 3 years of Sales/Service experience in related discipline
- Adequate exposure in Sales and Marketing / Supply chain activities/ Business exposure / Quality concepts / Product planning / Market research / Product forecasting/ Introduction of new market segments
- Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to influence decision-makers.
