Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creating engaging promotional videos
  • Managing the School’s photography database and Flickr account
  • Serving as lead campus photographer for daily and event coverage, and coordinating with student, faculty, or freelance photographers

  • Managing design and publication of printed programs for school events and other branded print/design projects
  • Supporting the communications team with writing and editing print and web materials, such as campus news stories, alumni magazines and notices, annual reports, and admissions collateral
  • Overseeing the schedule for the all-School event streaming platform
  • Assisting with the production of campus signage, displays, stationery, and photo boards
  • Supporting photography updates to the School’s website and some content management work;
  • Working independently and within a team on special and ongoing projects as necessary.

General Skill & Experience Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree with 1-4 years of professional experience, preferably in non-profit/educational fundraising, marketing, graphic design, or administrative work, and a familiarity with independent schools
  • True appreciation for the mission and values of Episcopal High School
  • A knack for building and maintaining relationships and the ability to communicate professionally and confidentially via phone, email, and in person
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills including writing and editing with attention to detail and formatting
  • High levels of initiative, with proven ability to work both collaboratively and independently and to manage time effectively
  • Good judgment, respect for confidentiality, and willingness to ask for guidance and support when needed
  • A demonstrated interest in, and experience with, photography
  • Ability to master relevant necessary technological tools and platforms, including but not limited to: Adobe Suite including InDesign, Acrobat DC, Photoshop, Premiere Pro; Blackbaud; Google Suite; Canva; Adobe Spark or other editing software
  • Strong leadership, collaborative, and interpersonal skills, with desire to support colleagues and constituents, solve problems creatively, work on a close-knit team
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekend
