Type: Part - Time (30 hours bi-weekly)
Shift: Day
Hours: 8:00AM - 4:30PM
Pay: $27.50 - $30.00 / Hour
Job Summary:
Performs clerical duties associated with maintaining a medical library, Answers routine inquiries and assists library users in locating articles.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Library in the absence of the Medical Librarian
- Conduct computer searches through various databases
- Process and monitor educational reference and research for staff
- Log in missing or damaged books and journals and returns them to publishers for exchange
- Send overdue notices
- Perform maintenance of shelves
- Locate books and journals for staff in-house and through library network
- Catalogue new books with Professional Software
- Process interlibrary loans via Docline
- Prepare journals for bindery
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Library Science
- Academy of Health Information Professional (AHIP) certification preferred
- Docline experience
- Medical Library related experience
Education
Required- Master of Library Science or better
