One-on-one - Direct Support Professional (DSP)

We serve Plymouth, Minnetonka, Wayzata, Brooklyn Park and New Hope.

Shifts ranging from:

• Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM every other week
• Thursday: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Flexible shifts available: 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM (days negotiable)

As a Direct Support Professional at EGH, you will:

• Serve individuals in a Community Residential Setting (Group Home)
• Typical responsibilities include:
• Supporting the wants and needs of the individuals supported by providing a person-centered environment that balances what is important to, and important for, the individuals served
• Assistance with activities of daily living, such as cooking, cleaning, and balancing a personal budget
• Outings in the community for medical or recreational purposes
• Some assistance with personal cares
• Providing companionship
• Documentation of services and progress
• Communication with peers, families, doctors, case managers, or anyone involved in the lives of the people you serve

REQUIREMENTS:

• A valid MN driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance
• Successfully pass a background check and driving record check
• Complete medication certification, CPR, First Aid and other training as assigned
• Strong English communication and ability to use computer for daily documentation.
