The Role
We’re looking for a Media Planner / Buyer to build and own integrated media plans for our clients. You’ll lead traditional buying, set the direction for digital, and make sure every campaign launches on time and on budget. You’ll report to the Media Director and work closely with our Account, Strategy & Insights, and Digital Media teams.
What You’ll Do
Plan
- Turn client briefs into integrated media strategies, covering channel mix, budgets, flight timing and KPIs
- Build plans in Bionic and present your recommendations to clients and internal teams
- Partner with Strategy & Insights to define audiences and the channels that reach them
Buy
- Negotiate and buy radio, broadcast and cable TV, print, and outdoor
- Secure strong rates, added value and premium placements through vendor relationships
- Manage trafficking, insertion orders and schedules
Direct and Manage
- Give our Digital Media Specialist direction on search, paid social and programmatic
- Own campaign budgets from plan to reconciliation, monitoring pacing and fixing issues inside the flight
- Analyze cross-channel performance and share insights and optimizations with clients
What You Bring
- 2–4 years of media planning and buying experience
- Hands-on buying experience in radio, broadcast / cable TV, print and outdoor
- Working knowledge of GRPs, reach and frequency, CPM, and Nielsen or Comscore
- Experience managing budgets, pacing and vendor invoices
- An understanding of how search, social and programmatic fit into an integrated plan
- Strong Excel / Google Sheets and communication skills
- A detail-first mindset: you verify dates, budgets and specs before anything goes live
- Bonus: Higher education, government or financial services experience; Bionic, Workamajig or The Trade Desk experience
