What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer/Material Planner position at Pivotal Health Solutions?
Pivotal Health Solutions is seeking a Buyer/Material Planner to join our team to plan, schedule, order, and monitor materials, machines, and labor to ensure that customer demands are met in the most cost-effective manner possible. The Buyer/Material Planner will directly report and work with the Purchasing Manager. This is a full-time position.

Primary Position Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of material through the Production cycle.
- Provide lead time to sales department.
- Determines quantity and order date for raw materials to meet production demands.
- May be involved in selecting and negotiating with approved vendors.
- Order pre-production outside services.
- Monitors and analyzes inventory levels and works to resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Develops forecasts for raw materials.
- Provides all procurement activities including contract negotiations, issuing of purchase orders for goods and services, and vendor approvals and evaluations, as required.
- Instrumental in bringing new vendors and products to the company in an effort to reduce cost and/or improve quality.
- Works closely with engineering in developing new products.
- Performs audits of existing vendor base.
- Assists in resolving inventory and quality issues with procured product as they arise.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
