Epic Recruiting
Scottsdale, AZ Full Time
POSTED ON 7/8/2026 CLOSED ON 9/5/2026

What are the responsibilities and job description for the Content Media Strategist (Mid-Level) position at Epic Recruiting?

About Us

We are a specialized recruiting marketing agency serving law enforcement and first responder agencies nationwide. We combine brand development, video production, web development, paid advertising, and ongoing social strategy to help departments attract and hire high-quality candidates.

As we grow, we are strengthening our strategic layer to ensure paid and organic messaging work together to drive measurable recruiting outcomes.

We’re looking for a mid-level Content Media Strategist to help us align messaging, improve application completion, and elevate the strategic value we bring to clients.

The Role

This role sits at the intersection of paid media, organic social, and recruiting funnel strategy.

You will help define and operationalize recruiting marketing strategy across channels. You will work closely with the Creative Director and Digital Marketing Director to ensure messaging alignment and continuous improvement in application completion and lead quality.

This is not a production or ad trafficking role.

It is a strategy and alignment role focused on performance outcomes.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in structured discovery sessions for new clients
  • Help develop Recruiting Marketing Blueprints (target segments, belief barriers, value pillars, messaging arcs)
  • Support development of 3–6 month messaging plans
  • Align paid advertising and organic social messaging monthly
  • Identify key belief barriers preventing candidates from completing applications
  • Analyze application start and completion data
  • Recommend messaging adjustments based on performance trends
  • Collaborate with Creative Director to ensure content aligns with strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with Digital Marketing Director to ensure paid hooks reflect monthly focus
  • Evaluate how different types of social content (testimonial, transparency, identity-driven, urgency-based) influence recruit behavior
  • Contribute to quarterly strategic recalibration discussions

What Success Looks Like

  • Clear monthly alignment between paid and organic messaging
  • Improved application completion trends
  • Better lead quality indicators
  • Clients increasingly view us as strategic partners, not just content creators

What We’re Looking For

  • 3 years in marketing strategy, campaign strategy, performance marketing, or growth marketing
  • Understanding of funnel stages and conversion psychology
  • Experience working with paid media and/or content strategy
  • Ability to interpret performance data and identify actionable insights
  • Strong structured thinking and organizational skills
  • Clear communicator comfortable in client-facing conversations
  • Understanding of how different social content types influence perception and decision-making

Nice to Have

  • Experience in recruiting, government, or public sector marketing
  • Experience working in an agency environment
  • Familiarity with Meta and Google Ads reporting

This Role Is Not Responsible For

  • Graphic design
  • Video editing
  • Ad trafficking
  • Daily content production

Compensation

  • Salary: $72,500

Benefits

  • $400/month health insurance stipend (after a 3-month probation period)
  • 401K with 4% employer match (after 6-month probation period)
  • 2 Weeks Paid Vacation (after a 3-month probation period)
  • Last 2 weeks of the year off (Paid)

Why This Role Matters

  • We believe recruiting marketing requires more than strong creative. It requires clear strategy, belief-shift planning, and alignment across the entire recruiting funnel. This role will help strengthen our strategic foundation as we continue to grow.
