Logistics Dispatcher

Job Title: Logistics Dispatcher
Pay Rate: $16.82 per hour

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher to support our transportation and logistics operations. This position is responsible for coordinating and dispatching carrier loads while ensuring efficient and timely shipments. The role reports directly to the Logistics Manager.

Schedule:

• 1st and 2nd shifts available
• Must be open to work weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch truckload (FTL) shipments using approved contract carriers
• Follow carrier routing and load tendering instructions accurately
• Communicate with carrier dispatchers, drivers, and internal teams regarding shipment status
• Maintain and organize daily shipment documentation and logs
• Process bills of lading and ensure all documentation is sent to the appropriate departments
• Update transportation management systems (TMS)
• Provide shipment updates and respond to inquiries professionally
• Support issue resolution during active shipments under management guidance
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required (some college preferred)
• At least 2 years of experience in traffic management or freight dispatch
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation documentation
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; TMS experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs
• Extended periods of computer work and occasional stair use
• Must be able to work in a distribution center environment with varying temperatures
