Simply walking the shop won’t convey the work; candidates either understand this niche industry or they don’t.Burteck values long-term employees who think independently, take pride in craftsmanship, and thrive in a detail-heavy, problem-solving environment.Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced CNC Machinist/Programmer capable of handling the full machining workflow—from programming and fixturing to setup, operation, and inspection.This is not a button‐pushing role. Candidates must be able to:Independently plan and fixture jobs (no standard production fixtures).Program while jobs are running.Run multiple unique parts per day.Troubleshoot and think critically when design issues or machining challenges appear.The ideal candidate requires minimal training, brings deep industry knowledge, and is ready to contribute in a fast-moving mold shop.Key ResponsibilitiesProgramming & SetupProgram CNC mills/lathes for complex, one-off mold components.Set up all jobs from scratch, including fixturing, workholding, tooling selection, offsets, and verification.Determine the best machining approach without standard production aids.OperationRun CNC equipment efficiently and safely while maintaining high-quality standards.Monitor tool wear, adjust feeds/speeds, and edit G-code as needed.Work on multiple parts per day with minimal supervision.Inspection & Quality ControlInspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments.Ensure tight-tolerance mold components meet engineering specifications.Document inspection results and maintain consistent quality output.Problem-Solving & WorkflowIdentify and troubleshoot potential design or machining issues.Work independently and make informed decisions throughout the machining process.Program the next job while the current one is running to maintain workflow efficiency.Required Experience & QualificationsMinimum 3 years of CNC machining experience in a precision, non-production environment.Experience in mold manufacturing or similarly complex, non-repetitive machining.Full ability to program, set up, run, and inspect CNC jobs.Strong blueprint reading, understanding of GD&T, and precision machining fundamentals.Additional NotesCandidates must confirm whether they have previously interviewed with or applied to Burteck through any agency.Company DescriptionEpic Personnel Partners, LLC is a privately held woman-owned staffing firm.
