Job Title: HR Generalist
Reports to: Director of Human Resources / Vice President of Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Summary:
The HR Generalist supports human resources operations across multiple staffing sites, including internal branches and on-site client locations. This role collaborates with recruiters, branch staff, and on-site managers to ensure effective HR support for both internal employees and temporary associates. While primarily office-based, the position requires occasional travel to other locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with on-site managers to resolve employee relations and compliance issues
Support recruiters and branch staff with hiring, onboarding, and policy implementation
Conduct investigations and assist in conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
Administer benefits for internal staff and temporary associates, including during open enrollment
Maintain accurate HR records and manage HRIS entries
Educate and support teams on HR policies and procedures
Travel as needed to branches and client sites to provide in-person HR support
Qualifications:
3–5 years of HR experience; staffing or high-volume environments preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Knowledge of California and multi-state labor laws
Experience with contingent or temporary workforces a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel on short notice
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel between sites
Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
Adhere to PPE requirements during site visits
