We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests have an enjoyable dining experience, from taking orders to delivering food and beverages with professionalism and flair.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the Heartland POS systems
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring proper presentation and adherence to food safety standards
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through POS systems
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, or complaints with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience
- Follow sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean work environment in compliance with health regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is required , particularly breakfast environments
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with guests
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and processing payments accurately
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables during peak hours
- Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is beneficial for effective communication with kitchen staff
- Ability to work flexible hours, mornings and weekends as required by the restaurant's operating schedule
