Position Overview
Our Client is seeking a strategic and results-driven Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead and scale the company’s commercial organization. This executive role will oversee Purchasing, Marketing, and B2B/Enterprise Sales while helping shape the long-term growth strategy of the business.
The CCO will be responsible for strengthening vendor relationships, expanding enterprise and institutional business, improving marketing effectiveness, and ensuring the company’s commercial operations are aligned, scalable, and profitable.
This role is ideal for a strong operator and business builder who understands how to combine strategy, leadership, analytics, and execution to drive meaningful growth.
Core Responsibilities
Purchasing & Vendor Management
- Oversee the Purchasing department and overall vendor health across the company
- Strengthen relationships with existing vendors while identifying opportunities for expansion and growth
- Review product assortment, pricing strategies, and category opportunities
- Work closely with buyers to improve profitability, inventory planning, and vendor partnerships
- Lead high-level vendor meetings and negotiations
B2B & Enterprise Growth
- Oversee the company’s B2B, government, education, and enterprise sales divisions
- Build scalable processes and accountability across the B2B organization
- Drive growth through strategic partnerships, institutional relationships, and reseller channels
- Improve CRM structure, reporting, quote tracking, and operational workflows
- Establish measurable growth plans and long-term revenue strategies
Marketing Leadership
- Oversee the Marketing department across digital, vendor-funded, website, and event marketing initiatives
- Ensure marketing efforts directly contribute to revenue growth and measurable business results
- Strengthen vendor marketing partnerships and MDF opportunities
- Work closely with ecommerce and platform teams to improve campaign performance and conversion
- Support branding, customer acquisition, and long-term commercial positioning
Strategic Leadership
- Build long-term commercial growth strategies for the company
- Improve communication and alignment between Purchasing, Marketing, Ecommerce, Operations, and Finance
- Develop KPI reporting and accountability structures across all commercial departments
- Identify operational inefficiencies and opportunities for automation or process improvement
- Participate in executive planning, budgeting, and growth initiatives
Qualifications
- 5 years of leadership experience in ecommerce, or commercial operations
- Strong experience managing purchasing, sales, marketing, or vendor-driven organizations
- Proven ability to grow revenue while maintaining profitability and operational structure
- Experience building teams, systems, and scalable processes
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with ecommerce marketplaces, B2B operations, and vendor relationships strongly preferred

Salary : $250,000 - $275,000
