Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical Accounts Receivable & Audit Specialist with advanced Excel skills. This is an Excel-heavy, audit-focused role involving large volumes of financial data, transaction reconciliation, settlement review, and discrepancy analysis.

The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Excel and comfortable using formulas, PivotTables, lookups, and other tools to analyze and reconcile financial data. While Accounts Receivable is part of the role, the primary focus is auditing, reconciliation, data analysis, and financial accuracy.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Brooklyn office.

Primary Responsibilities

Excel & Financial Analysis

• Work extensively in Excel to analyze and reconcile large volumes of financial data
• Build and maintain reconciliation spreadsheets and financial reports
• Use PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, and other formulas to identify discrepancies
• Compare data across multiple systems and reports to investigate variances

Settlement & Financial Audit

• Audit third-party sales channels, including sales, refunds, chargebacks, fees, and expenses
• Reconcile platform settlements to bank statements and internal systems
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in collections, deductions, and reporting
• Maintain detailed audit documentation and records
• Assist with tax audit documentation and maintain TaxJar records

Accounts Receivable

• Reconcile incoming cash and maintain accurate AR records
• Monitor AR aging and outstanding balances
• Research and follow up on disputed or missing payments
• Partner with the B2B Sales team to resolve overdue accounts

Reporting & Process Improvement

• Communicate audit findings and discrepancies to management
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation
• Collaborate with Finance, Purchasing, and Operations

Qualifications

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required
• 2–4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, financial auditing, reconciliation, accounting, or a similar role
• Strong experience using Excel for financial analysis and reconciliation
• Proficiency with PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, and other Excel functions
• Experience working with large datasets and high-volume transactions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• QuickBooks experience preferred
• E-commerce or multi-channel experience is a plus
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
