Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring a high level of patient care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent patient service skills. The Medical Assistant will work in various settings, including urgent care and specialty clinics such as dermatology.
Duties
-Assist with Esketamine administration and monitoring
-Assist with TMS administration
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the clinic.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential.
- Experience in urgent care or hospital medicine is preferred.
- Familiarity with Psychiatric practices is a plus.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
- Strong patient service skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center is advantageous but not required.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training is preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
