Epcon Partners is seeking an experienced I&E to support tank work at the Refinery, providing quality and compliance oversight across instrumentation and electrical scopes.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and oversee gauging system installations (level, pressure, flow instrumentation)
- Verify temperature probe and thermowell installations per design drawings
- Review conduit sizing, routing, and installation for NEC and spec compliance
- Perform PLC panel inspection, wiring verification, and I/O loop checks
- Conduct walk-downs, prepare inspection reports, punch lists, and redlines
- Interface with contractor crews, project engineers, and client representatives
- Document non-conformances and track corrective actions to closure
- 5 years I&E inspection or construction experience in a refinery or petrochemical setting
- Hands-on experience with tank gauging systems, temp probe installs, and conduit installation
- Working knowledge of PLC systems, loop checks, and I/O verification
- Ability to read P&IDs, electrical one-lines, and instrument loop drawings
- Familiarity with API, ISA, and NEC codes; OSHA 10 or 30 required
- Strong documentation skills (ITPs, inspection reports, redlines)
- API 650/653 tank experience and hazardous area electrical knowledge a plus
