Join EOCF as a Supervising Teacher where you'll play a key leadership role in guiding classroom staff, supporting families, and ensuring children receive high-quality early learning experiences every day. In this role, you'll balance classroom teaching with leadership responsibilities, including supporting staff development, maintaining licensing compliance, monitoring attendance and program data, coordinating services with families, and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the center.
CompensationSchedule
This role is scheduled for 40 hours per week during the school year. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday during daytime hours, with occasional evening/weekend family events.
This benefitted position has an hourly wage of $25.94 per hour.
Required Education
Associate's degree in early childhood education or related field
Required Experience
Two years of consistent paid experience teaching groups of children 3 to 5 years of age in an early childhood setting.
Six months of consistent paid supervisor experience.
- Bi-lingual highly desired.
Key Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of child development and early childhood education to effectively plan and implement curriculum.
Lead and support classroom staff through coaching, mentoring, training and ongoing supervision.
Ensure compliance with Head Start, ECEAP, and Washington State licensing requirements.
Monitor classroom operations, documentation, and recordkeeping to ensure accuracy and compliance with program standards.
Build positive relationships with families and encourage meaningful family engagement in children's learning.
Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes professional growth, and high-quality early learning practices.
Ability to
Be proficient with technology for maintaining accurate records, completing documentation, managing staff-related records, and meeting reporting requirements.
Prepare the classroom environment to meet the educational needs of each child.
Track each child's progress and incorporate the information into the curriculum.
Lead, coach and support staff while fostering a positive, collaborative, and professional team environment.
Maintain confidentiality of records and information.
Apply the team approach to resolving problems or conflicts while promoting positive working relationships among staff, families, and community partners..
Demonstrate professional and effective written and verbal communication skills;
Organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail and compliance requirements.
