Our company is searching for a professional, self-motivated individual to fill a role with our Shipping/Receiving Team.
Shipping team members are responsible for pulling and staging outbound orders, packaging to meet transit specifications, auditing and ensuring quality of inbound and outbound materials and working cross department to ensure company on time ship requirements are met.
Expectations include:
Loading and unloading of freight for inbound/outbound transit
Responsible to make sure product is packaged and properly protected during shipment.
Maintains shipping documentation (bill of lading, packing lists, etc.).
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following and supporting all safety and housekeeping policies.
Ensure all equipment is maintained and in proper working order.
Utilize equipment to transfer material and product to locations and scan all product for shipment.
Look for continuous improvements within the shipping department.
Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with a variety of people.
Ability to lead and direct others with minimal supervision.
Good organizational skills.
Ability to continuously lift, walk, bend, reach, push and pull.
Requirements:Requirements:
Pass in house Forklift certification and training requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in computer skills
Strong attention to detail
Able to follow written job instructions
Previous shipping experience
Must be able to meet and maintain a forklift certification as directed by MIOSHA guidelines
