Role Overview:
The Advanced Driver Assist Systems Applications Team is looking for a strong Project Manager who possesses technical and analytical mindset. This involves applying Project Management principles, engineering principles, and analytical techniques in support of delivering various ADAS commodities to vehicle applications. The Project Manager is responsible for monitoring the key engineering deliverables status, providing overview of coming products and milestones, and identifying any risks or high priority items that need to be escalated for appropriate attention and resolution.
Remote/Hybrid options-looking at minimum 1 day in office (Thursdays) but possible up to 3 days in office per week.
Role Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Management Forums setting agenda topics, key stakeholders, documenting discussions and tracking follow-up items.
- Keep track of open issues and program status, bring in look ahead topics, work with Design & Release Engineers for various commodities to help identify risks, define workstreams, and escalate issues.
- Where possible, help resolve technical issues or, at a minimum, lead the forum where solution options are discussed and driven to a conclusion and ensure a strong communication channel and awareness with management team.
- Identify and improve team process, documentation, and communication channels, and align the team to specific objectives.
- Identify risks, and implement mitigation and contingency plans, focused on early mitigation or elimination of risks.
- Facilitate adoption of relevant Ford processes.
- Ensures effective usage of Jira and documentation and derive meaningful insights from progression of open issues, evidence and closed loop resolution.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 years project management experience
- 1 years of technical experience
- Associates degree in engineering technology, project management, or better, engineering, IT,
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and establish trust and positive relationships across teams
- Ability to develop strong working relationships across multiple leadership levels amongst peer organizations, product teams and business partners
- Self-starter with ability to operate in an ambiguous environment
- Willing to work on a highly collaborative team (60 Engineers) fulfilling different roles and fill gaps
- Proactive attitude and not afraid to ask question
- A curiosity towards new technologies that may benefit the team and a strong desire to learn
- Demonstrated ability to learn and become productive in new concepts quickly Technically inclined product manager
- Good organizational and time-management skills

- Behavioral Leadership (ability to handle difficult situations and build relationships)
- Prior experience coaching/mentoring teams
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Strong global business acumen – Marketing, Order to Delivery and Product Development
Competencies:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) MS Project knowledge would be nice but not a requirement, presentations experience, good oral skills.
- JIRA not a minimum requirement. Good to have but can be taught basics if needed by Ford team.
