Our company designs and installs projects for a wide range of Government, Commercial, Industrial, Educational, Medical, Institutional and Retail facilities across the United States.
Job summary:
An Underground Utility Pipefitter installs, repairs, and maintains piping systems used for water, sewer, storm drain, and other underground utilities, including water meter installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install underground piping systems (PVC, ductile iron, HDPE, etc.)
- Install water meters ranging from 5/8” to 12”, including setters, vaults, and related appurtenances
- Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and grade stakes
- Cut, align, and join pipe using proper tools and methods
- Set pipe and meters to correct line and grade
- Work in trenches and around excavation equipment
- Assist with trench safety (shoring, sloping, shielding)
- Perform pressure testing, meter setting verification, and inspections as required
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area
- Follow all safety standards and site requirements
Basic Requirements:
- Experience in underground utility or pipe installation preferred
- Experience with water meter installation (small and large diameter) is a plus
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of trench safety and excavation practices
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical labor
- Team-oriented with strong work ethic
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to pass background/drug screen
- Basic knowledge of tablet/computer use
Workdays: Monday-Friday
Work Hours: 8 hrs. 7:30AM – 4PM
Pay: Public works/Prevailing Wage
