Teacher - After School Care

Envision Science Academy, a K-8 Public Charter School in Wake Forest, NC, is seeking passionate and dedicated before and after care staff who are interested in offering exemplary and professional before and after school programming for our S.O.A.R. Program. We have PART-TIME openings for individuals who are passionate about working with students in a school setting. Elementary/Middle school experience is a big plus!

The starting date for this position is August 10, 2026.

In this role you will:

• Deliver STEAM activities while engaging children enthusiastically.
• Supervise and engage with a small group of elementary and/or middle school children while guiding them through all program components.
• Work with the S.O.A.R. Coordinator to organize the daily materials for all lessons and activities, ensuring that all materials are readily available, and the curriculum is delivered.
• Facilitate the daily program schedule for your group of assigned students.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to ensure the attention, safety, and well-being of all students.
• Assist children with homework, providing direction, offering support while checking for accuracy.
• Comply with school - wide professional dress code and standards.
• Always maintain a positive demeanor, including redirection or disciplinary matters.
• Consistently interact using respectful language and tone with both children and adults.
• Develop strong relationships with students and have fun!

Requirements:

• Experience working with children, ideally teaching in a structured classroom or childcare setting.
• Must be available Monday-Friday from 2:30 pm to 6:00 pm for our after-school program. If interested and/or a need, available 6:15 am to 7:30 am for our before school care.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma required.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
