EnviroVantage is recognized as a trusted authority for all Government, Commercial & Industrial projects involving proper hazardous materials handling and demolition, servicing projects nationwide.

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading and executing all HR functions for the organizations. This role combines strategic planning with day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance, supporting employees, and aligning HR initiatives with business goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified job applicants for all roles; collaborate with departmental managers to understand the skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Administer benefits, compensation, and 401(k) programs, as well as vendor relationships.
  • Oversee regular internal audits to assess HR practices, policies, and records for compliance.
  • Coordinate external and internal reporting requirements including EEOC, OFCCP, and AAP reports.
  • Lead workplace investigations and disciplinary procedures.
  • Maintain a smooth onboarding process and implement retention programs.
  • Responsible for organization-wide engagement and recognition initiatives
  • Provide training, counseling, and coaching to leaders and team members.
  • Resolve conflicts through positive and professional mediation.
  • Conduct annual performance and wage reviews.
  • Maintain workplace health and safety compliance in partnership with the safety team.
  • Maintain employee and workplace privacy.
  • Stay current on employment laws, regulations, legislative changes, and industry best practices to continuously enhance and update compliance programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in human resources or related field.
  • Professional HR certification such as SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, HRCI, or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant federal, health and safety laws (e.g., OFCCP, EEO, OSHA, DOL)
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience in the construction and/or environmental remediation fields

Working Environment/Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.

  • Actual compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location.

Paid Time Off & Holidays

  • Paid Time Off (PTO): 80 hours per year
  • Sick Time: 56 hours per year
  • Paid Holidays: 8 company-paid holidays per year
