Environmental Response Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Supervisor / Universal Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team in Tempe, AZ. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an industry-leading environmental contractor on diverse, challenging remediation projects across the Southwest. We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong construction background in earthwork and civil projects. This role requires hands-on expertise in heavy equipment operation, leadership in the field, and the ability to oversee complex environmental remediation work.
Requirements:
- 4–6 years construction experience (earthwork/civil projects preferred)
- Proficiency operating heavy equipment (trackhoe, backhoe, loader)
- Strong experience with trenching, demolition, and mass excavation
- Knowledge of survey staking, erosion control, and excavation techniques
- Ability to travel throughout Arizona and neighboring states
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (or willingness to obtain – employer paid)
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Dependable, motivated, and safety-focused
