Position: Dock Attendant / Safety Specialist
We at Environmental, Health & Safety Solutions, Inc. (EHSS) currently have a unique opportunity to expand our team of Safety Professionals. We are looking to support our Client / Partner with multiple full-time Dock Attendants / Safety Specialists, who are seeking a personal and professional challenge and want to grow within our company.
The position is located in Oregon, OH. (Greater Toledo, OH Area)
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience as a Safety Professional, or in a safety related field.
- (Chemical, Power, or Manufacturing Plant experience a plus)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety preferred, or one of the following: (Board of Certified Safety Professionals Certification, an OSHA 510 and 500 Construction Course Certification, or acceptable longevity / experience as a practicing Safety Professional may be satisfactory)
- OSHA 10-hour or OSHA 30-hour Certifications a must (Construction preferred)
- Shift work – Day 6am-6pm or Night 6pm-6am
- Daily task includes monitoring the safe transfer of chemicals using hoses and valves from truck and rail cars vessels to storage tanks or vice versa.
- Complete Safety Inspections, Audit Checklists, and Operational Hold Points
- Meticulously follow Safety and Operational Dock Attendant procedures
- Ability to identify hazards, communicate issues, and work as part of a team to provide positive solutions.
- Utilize enhanced PPE: acid suits, rubber boots, chemical gloves, a face shield, full face respirator, hard hat, etc. daily
- DISA background check required
