Site Remediation & Environmental Compliance

Location: Hybrid – Baltimore/Washington Metropolitan Area

Environmental Health Consultants (EHC) is seeking an experienced environmental consulting professional to join our growing team as a Senior Environmental Manager specializing in site remediation and environmental compliance.

This is more than a project management role — it is an opportunity to become a key contributor to the long-term growth, technical leadership, and strategic direction of a collaborative and mission-driven environmental consulting firm.

At EHC, we maintain a hands-on, team-oriented culture where employees work closely together across projects and have the opportunity to make a visible impact on the company's direction and growth. We are not a large corporate consulting firm with layers of management and rigid silos. Our team values technical excellence, responsiveness, flexibility, innovation, and practical solutions for our clients.

Our work is guided by five strategic pillars that shape how we grow, serve clients, support employees, and create impact:

  • Client Growth – Growing the right clients, in the right markets, with the right services
  • People & Culture – Building a culture of candor, care, accountability, and growth
  • Operational Excellence – Supporting sustainable growth through quality, consistency, and collaboration
  • Stakeholder Impact – Creating measurable value for employees, communities, partners, and clients
  • AI & Innovation – Using technology to amplify expertise, insight, and impact

We are looking for someone who not only brings strong technical remediation and compliance experience but also believes in these principles and wants to grow alongside a small business focused on long-term impact and sustainable growth.

About the Role

The Senior Environmental Manager will serve as a senior technical leader within the organization, supporting complex remediation and compliance projects, mentoring staff, strengthening EHC’s technical depth, and helping position the company for continued growth in the Mid-Atlantic market.

This role offers significant long-term leadership growth potential for the right individual.

The ideal candidate is:

  • technically strong,
  • collaborative,
  • solutions-oriented,
  • entrepreneurial,
  • and motivated to help shape the future direction of the company.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Project Leadership

  • Lead and manage complex environmental projects involving:
  • Site investigation and remediation
  • Environmental compliance
  • Brownfield redevelopment
  • Due diligence and environmental assessments

  • Develop and review technical reports, remedial action plans, compliance documentation, and regulatory submissions
  • Support field investigations and remediation activities as needed
  • Assist with project budgeting, scheduling, and resource coordination

Operational Excellence

  • Support the continued growth and scalability of EHC’s technical and project delivery capabilities
  • Contribute to collaborative project approaches that maintain EHC’s strong reputation for responsiveness and technical quality
  • Help strengthen technical leadership and knowledge-sharing across the organization

People & Culture

  • Mentor developing technical staff and project managers
  • Foster a collaborative and accountable team environment
  • Support a culture focused on professional growth, technical excellence, and mutual respect

Client Growth & Stakeholder Impact

  • Support client relationship management and strategic project pursuits
  • Assist with proposal development, technical scoping, and identifying opportunities for continued client support
  • Help strengthen EHC’s market presence through responsive service, technical credibility, and trusted client relationships
  • Contribute to projects that positively impact communities, public health, and environmental quality

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Embrace technology and innovation that improve project delivery, technical insight, and operational efficiency
  • Support practical modernization of environmental consulting practices and workflows where appropriate
