Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. (ECT) is seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Wetland Delineator to join our growing team in Central and West Central Florida. In this role, you’ll take the lead on wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and threatened and endangered species surveys while guiding field teams and collaborating closely with project managers. You’ll play a key part in helping clients balance development with environmental protection—bringing science, strategy, and teamwork together to deliver successful outcomes.

What you'll do:
- Lead field teams in wetland delineations, functional assessments, and habitat evaluations using both state and federal methodologies.
- Apply technical expertise in plant identification, soils, and hydrology to assess wetlands and natural resources.
- Conduct surveys and inspections including habitat assessments, natural resource inventories, and compliance checks.
- Work directly with agencies by applying your experience with state and federal wetland reviews.
- Support project managers with environmental assessments, reporting, permitting documentation, and data analysis.
- Oversee project logistics, including field staff coordination, scheduling, budgets, and deliverables.
- Contribute to growth, supporting proposal development, business opportunities, and mentoring team members.
- Stay current on environmental regulations and build positive relationships with regulatory agencies.
- Promote safety and professionalism in both office and field environments.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Ecology, or related field.
- 5–7 years of professional experience in wetland delineation, wildlife/botanical surveys, or environmental permitting.
- Strong technical writing skills and experience with QA/QC of reports and data.
- Previous consulting experience preferred, renewable energy project experience a plus.
- Familiarity with state and federal permitting processes.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel (including overnight) for fieldwork as needed.
